One million vibrant families of Jesus in America[1]

Pretty outlandish statement, isn’t it. But, my hope is that you will give me a chance to explain what this means, why I think it could transform America and how it might actually come about.

Over the last almost 20 years, it is as though the Lord has been assembling a jigsaw puzzle in my brain. Once piece after another slowly seemed to appear. Sometimes through books, sometimes through friends, sometimes from my own experience and sometimes from the Lord directly. Slowly the picture of vibrant families of Jesus has emerged.

What I intend to do in Book One (The “Why” Book) is to share with you these puzzle pieces. Each short chapter will unpack a different piece. My hope is that you will begin to see the same picture that has captured my thinking.

Question to talk over with the Lord and other friends: “What difference would it make if there were, in fact, a million vibrant families of Jesus in the United States (or, fill in your country)?”

[1] Why one million? In a general sense, the Vision of the LK10 Community is to see a “vibrant family of Jesus in easy reach of every person in every region and people group around the world”. We think this was and is Jesus’ strategy for fulfilling His Great Commission (Mt. 28:19-20). In a more specific sense, all I can say is that that is the number that came to me.
