“For the first time in my life, I’m listening to my wife.”  Kenyan church leader to Walt Hastings.

Three years ago, I interviewed Walt Hastings about his work in coaching church planters in Kenya.  Walt had taken 17 Kenyan leaders through an early version of the Church 101 Course.  Those leaders had trained other leaders who had trained other leaders.  Walt estimated that there were at least 100 people doing CO2 at that time. And, there was evidence that the basic “rhythms of attention” were having a powerful impact, especially on marriages.  See the video below for my interview with Walt.

One of the key leaders that Walt was coaching was John Omondi.  Recently, John emailed me to say that he felt the Lord wanted him to attend our upcoming LK10 Conference.  I think there would be great value for both John and for us if he could join us.  Please join us in praying for God’s provision for this trip.  At this point we do not have the funds to help.  Kara Moseley, who is coordinating this effort, writes, “We are in need of finances or a large mileage donation.  In order to pay for a ticket it will cost around $2500 or 80K miles American Airlines or 100K miles on United Airlines for a round trip ticket.  Please contact Kara Moseley at kjmoseley@gmail.com if you are able to help.”
