The CO2 (Church of Two) is one of the foundational practices for the LK10 Community. Here are some of the reasons we think it is so important…
- CO2s are the basic building block for all larger expressions of church. (Want to have a really healthy house church? Make sure that most of your people are in a CO2 during the week.)
- CO2s multiply like rabbits because they are so simple and easy to start. There are hundreds (thousands?) of CO2 now functioning across the US and around the world. Just this week, I’ve heard stories from France, Uruguay and Dayton, OH.
- CO2s are transformational. They change lives. They are one of the best contexts for discipleship that we’ve seen. In the video below, you will hear how God has used the CO2 concept in the lives of my friends, Jackie and Carol.
- CO2s are similar but each one is unique. Every CO2 is the same in this sense… by definition it is “two people, two rhythms as close to daily as possible”. At the same time every CO2 develops it’s unique flavor. You will see this as Jackie and Carol talk about what their CO2 looks like.
