We know that meaningful community results when people connect on a heart level. (“Checking in” using SASHET is one practical way to do this.) We know this works when we are face to face with each other (as in a house church gathering or at a conference). But, can meaningful community develop when we are only connecting virtually as in a Google hangout (similar to Skype)? You see, we have LK10 Coordinators from all over the US and around the world and the only way we can connect on a regular basis is virtually.
For the last 18 months, our Coordinators have been experimenting with these “hangouts” and the results have exceeded our expectations! We have found that this kind of virtual community is highly effective for both personal support and ministry training. (Often we call this a “community of practice”.)
And, we’re now ready to invite you into this same kind of supportive virtual “community of practice”. If you are leading (or planning to lead) a small group (house church, etc.) and have been through Church 101, you are invited to apply for membership in one of our new Leader Teams this summer. All the information and the application form is here… https://www.lk10.dev.cc/lk10-school/leader-101/
Watch the video below to hear what some of our Coordinators were saying about the hangouts (after only 6 weeks!). Is this the kind of leadership community that would be helpful to you?
