Sean Hyatt…
Things that I found were on my heart as I read (things the Lord might have “SPOKEN TO ME”) in assignmnt 1: – – – 1) traditional churches, and many organic churches, miss this truth (that deep spiritual relationships between individual brothers and sisters as the basic building block of the family of God) and many churches and christians are suffering deeply for it. They come together and worship with dozens or hundreds of others, but have no deep spiritual relationships with other individuals, and are badly crippled spiritually as a result πŸ™ – – – 2)An encouragement to those in our cohort who are either starting, or seeking to start a house church – to BUILD ON THIS FOUNDATION (of close spiritual relationships with one or two others). Like the wise & foolish men who built their houses, then the storms came in… if you build on this foundation in your work with the Lord, when the storms come you will be thankful you did!

Walt hastings…

I am checking in today as thrilled over what God is doing! I had a conversation with Dawson Mudenyo this morning. When I visited him in Kitale, Kenya last summer, he had forty-some house churches in his network. Now seven months later he has one-hundred-twenty-some house churches in his network, and his goal is to plant twenty new house churches each month!

sean, i couldn’t agree more. when we started our first house church we were focused on the gathering as being the main thing and sought to see the whole “smaller still” thing be a part of what we do, an add on you could say but we were not building our lives together as little families of Jesus that have the dna built into the very core of everything that the first expressions of the church as 2 or 3 believers who listen to our hearts, to each other’s hearts and bring all of that to Jesus and ask Him what He has to say to us (through prayer, through the Word, through each other and through those inner promptings of His Spirit and the thoughts that come to us out of nowhere that seem to confirm His will). It’s been huge for us and our house churches (both the one in our home and those we coach or connect with) that we have embraced the idea of seeing spiritual health expressed in the smallest expression first and then seeing that naturally flowing to every other expression (house church, house church networks, regional networks, etc) because it is what happens at our core on a daily basis. it the little leaven that leaven that leavens the whole lump (in a good way).

I am checking in as EXCITED. This is a GREAT DAY! A NEW DAY!

I get a feeling that God is just as excited or even more so at what is beginning here today in Australia and all over the world.

Jim Hutchinson

I followed Sharon on her original journey with Maree and have CO2’d with her on a non formal basis for a few months now. Listening to the video again reinforced the 2 disciplines I’ve become familiar with. I normally SASHET at H as its my nature not to let much bother me and my simplistic acceptance of the Lords promises to me. I take what he says at face value, I’m not big on deep analysis. Listening to the Lord in our quiet time has opened new doors of being able to hear from him in ways I never before knew possible. I know all who participate in the apprenticeship are going to experience some wonderful and possibly life changing events as they develop these 2 skills of SASHET and Virkler (listening to the Lord). Its only natural that we will all want to take this to others and beome involved in building his Kingdom 2 by 2.

Maree

I have realised this past week that what the Lord has been teaching me as I co2 with Sharon is now how I am conducting myself in many interactions with people. Just this week I have had the opportunity to share about listening, intimacy with the Lord and awareness of our heart and Gods heart with believers and not yet believers an astounding amount.

I am regularly stopping and asking the coach before I launch into my old habit of giving advise or ‘should do’s”.

As you said Jim it is “only natural that we will all want to take this to others”. Not only will we want to but it will be NATURAL and will flow from us without striving and strain.

As I read the co2 brochure again and think about what this has meant for my life the word that comes is “freedom”.

This is freedom and I praise God that I am free indeed and pray you will all know this freedom, this intimacy of living real and loved
