Miracles from LK10 Conference

Started a CO2 in my home last night. I have to say it was the most significant spiritual moment my family has experienced together in some time.

The reading from Jesus Calling (Sarah Young) for September 2… “When you depend on Me continually, your whole perspective changes.  You see miracles happening all around, while others see only natural occurrences and “coincidences.”

There were many of these miracles that occurred at (or after) the LK10 Conference.  I’ll post one that Miller Talbot described in an email to me today.  Please add the miracles you experienced or saw in the section below (Leave a Reply).  In other words, join the conversation!

John!

Started a CO2 in my home last night. I have to say it was the most significant spiritual moment my family has experienced together in some time. As you may or may not know, we have milk goats. My 9 year old daughter is a natural born pastor. On our way home, my wife and I realized that with our new financial situation we needed to get rid of some or all of our goats.  As we discussed this with our family, it became obvious that Sarah was really struggling.

We decided to sleep on it and continue our decision making process in the morning. Then I started explaining how to check in. We all checked in as happy or excited except for Sarah who checked in as sad and tender. We asked her to talk about that and she just fell apart. As she came and sat in my lap, I let everyone know that what we would do next is listen to God for a bit and then talk about what we’d heard. I asked everyone to ask God what he wanted to say to Sarah. Everyone got beautiful words from the Lord for her but my wife got a song, “letting go” sung by Steffany Frizzell Gretzinger. We listened to this song and Sarah wept but listened carefully. These are the lyrics.  Here’s the YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okmxFDMYuEQ

You’ve brought me to the end of myself

And this has been the longest road

Just when my hallelujah was tired

You gave me a new song

I’m letting go, I’m letting go
I’m letting go, and falling into You

I confess I still get scared sometimes
But perfect love comes rushing in
And all the lies that screamed inside
Go silent
The moment You begin

You remind me of things forgotten
You unwind me until I’m totally undone
And with Your arms around me
Fear was no match for Your love
Now You’ve won me

When I asked Sarah what God was saying to her, she said this…

“It has been a long road, we’ve had to say goodbye to so many animals this year. I’ve tried to stand up for them but I couldn’t! In the end I just have to fall in to Jesus. He always catches me and I feel his arms around me.”

We asked God what he wanted to say to us as a family and then I asked Sarah to pray to close us out.

John, she said the most sweetly sincere prayer I’ve ever heard. She asked God to help her let go of her goats because it was what’s best for our family. She said she knew how much he loved her and that if we just leaned in to him, he’d catch us.

There are no words for the gratefulness I feel toward you and the LK10 gang from this weekend. I can’t really access the community yet but I’d love for you to share this with everyone soon if you want to.

Thanks for the new song!

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be strong; be courageous. Do everything in love.” — Paul
