*Physical training informs spiritual training. In 1 Tim. 4:7-8, Paul writes, “Train yourself for spiritual fitness (or godliness)”. The word for “train” is gymnazo from which we get gymnastics. See also 1 Cor. 9:24-27. Clearly, Paul’s idea of spiritual fitness was shaped by his understanding of physical fitness. And, it certainly involved more than showing up as a spectator at a church service once a week!

In this short video, you see the value of a coach. Who is coaching you spiritually? Who are you coaching? Are you clear about the exercises/practices your disciples need? http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFitJournal_PeterEgyedCoaching1_PRE.wmv
